Women Empowerment: Identifying Priorities

It’s human nature to want to do more than what is possible. Whether it’s what you want to accomplish over the weekend, during the workweek, in your career, or in life, the reality is that you’re not going to be able to do it all at once. Time management systems can help, but they’ll never solve the problem, because no matter how productive you are, it’s impossible to do everything. This is why priority setting is so important. Despite important progress in promoting gender equality, there remains an urgent need to address structural barriers to women’s economic empowerment and full inclusion in economic activity. Time is a precious commodity that we all have the same amount of time every day, so use it to your advantage. Time management strategies are often
associated with the recommendation to set personal goals. These goals are recorded and may be broken down into a project, an action plan, or a simple task list. For individual tasks or for goals, an importance rating may be established, deadlines may be set, and priorities assigned.
